Frequently Asked Questions About the 2-Day 'Heart of Sri Lanka' Tour

How should you prepare for the climb to Sigiriya or Pidurangala?

If you plan to climb Sigiriya, be ready for a physical workout. The 1,200 steps take about 45 to 60 minutes, but you will be rewarded with amazing views and historic ruins. For an easier option, choose Pidurangala. The climb takes about 20 minutes, and it also offers stunning panoramas of Sigiriya and the surrounding area.

What should you wear and which shoes should you bring to Sri Lanka?

Comfortable sneakers or trekking shoes are the best choice for active walks in Sri Lanka. If you plan to visit temples, pack a pair of socks, as you will need to take off your shoes at some of them. Don't forget sun protection. Sunglasses, a hat or a cap will help you avoid overheating.

What should you bring on the tour?

Don't forget chargers for your devices so you can stay connected and take photos during the trip. A lunch box is also handy for snacks, especially on full-day tours. It's always a good idea to carry some money for personal expenses, such as souvenirs or drinks.

What is included in the Sri Lanka tour price?

The tour price includes transfers from and back to your hotel, the services of an English-speaking guide, hotel accommodation with beautiful views, entrance tickets, and one breakfast and one dinner. Personal expenses, drinks and lunches are not included, so bring some cash for extra purchases.

How should you prepare for Sri Lanka's climate?

Be prepared for Sri Lanka's climate. Bright sun and sudden rain showers can affect your comfort during the tour. We recommend bringing a light jacket or raincoat and sunscreen to protect you from UV rays. Comfortable socks and shoes will help you feel at ease on any surface.
